UTURN

We work with these people and help develop their independence in the span of two years, so that they can get back out into the world and live comfortably.

We also organize Sleep on the Streets, which is an awareness campaign in which volunteers spend a night on the streets, and identify as homeless for one night. We designate safe areas in the city for them to sleep, which we believe creates a bigger emotional understanding of what it’s like to be homeless. Each participant aims to raise $500 for UTURN in support of homeless youth.

Currently there are over 400 homeless youth in our community, and with Sleep on the Streets, we hope to bring awareness and a deeper understanding of this problem. Sleep on the Streets goes from May 13th to 14th, from 6 pm to 10 am.
